St. John Paul II’s litany at Fatima to avoid a nuclear war

In 1982, St. John Paul II visited Fatima and prayed to God that the world would be spared from nuclear war.

When visiting the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal in 1982, St. John Paul II made a public act of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, while also praying that humanity would be spared a potential nuclear war.

He composed a very specific litany to God, asking him and Our Lady of Fatima to spare the world from a disastrous global war.
